People with mental disorders are easily stereotyped and often in a negative way. This is because they are seen as different from others, but it’s precisely this deviation from the norm that I find interesting. In my graduation collection I tried to visualize the constant burden, the compulsion and frustration that I came across during my research into various mental disorders. I used details from anti-suicide smocks in contrast with very thin fragile fabrics and lots of hooks and eyes.
